The Thought For The Day on 7-16-07

A very interesting thought that tends to make people think more about how our country will react to the future. Who knows what the future hold’s? All I know is that I must help build it and to ensure it for the next generations after me and after them. “The Thought For The Day on 7-16-07.”Resource the “Fisch Bowl” By, Karl Fisch. A true fact that every body lives and dies and can only occurs once in a person’s lifetime. Just the same for these of Our United States. What remains ahead? So many unanswered questions still remain. Of how our world works, what new discoveries will be found and how will it impact our future. It’s a twisted and very complicated system that will still be that way many years form now. It will rely on me when I mature and come of age. When I grow old enough to take the ropes and learn new things that will prepare me for a job that doesn’t even exist yet. What may relate is the religion of Christianity. The question arises “WWJD?” in other words “What Will Jesus Do?” What will he hold? And most of all how will it effect us and the rest of our people in the world. So I leave you with the thought that “We are the future!” so how about we make it something worth remembering!

The 3-year-old’s Body Believed Found

The long awaited search ended this afternoon when the body of a 3 year old Niveiah Gallegos was found. Resource “The Denver Post”, “The 3-year-old’s Body Believed Found” by John Ingold. The search began when the victims mother Miriam Gallegos had made the accusation that a tall red headed man had kidnaped her. A Amber Alert was signal and the search began. But very suspiciously when the police went to the resident of the young girl there they found a bloody towel and when confronted the mother cracked. Telling the police everything about how she and her boyfriend Angel Montoya were scared to the fact that she was not breathing. They wrapped the baby in a plastic bag and the boyfriend carried her out to dispose of the body. She was found in a shallow ravine inside both the plastic and duffle bag. Along with this unforgiven act it didn’t have to happen. A earlier charge was pressed on the boyfriend that he had assaulted the young girl but with out the corporation of the mother the charges were dismissed. The fact that this could have been resolved before any of it happen. Is a disappointment toward the police and family members. A young 3 year old girl that had her whole life ahead of her it’s such a shame. As a young teen I find this article very heart breaking. Because any young girl or woman for that matter can relate; if its there child or there sister. In this situation it describes how the lost of a baby that had to evoke a tortures death. Had to be taken from the world all because of a dysfunctional family that could not report the death in the first place. Very simply its really bad that our world must have head lines like this. Just like the story of that mother drowning her young kids in a bath tub. We as the people really should take this issue and many others into affect so that no more young kids can face a tragic death just like young Niveiah Gallegos.

How Much Do You Value Test Scores?

A very interesting topic sometimes mention in school matter thoughts between your parents and your teachers. It's a subject in which I think of my own test scores and my school. But the article How Much Do You Value Test Scores? by Karl Fisch; resource The Fischbowl it talks about how you wonder what kind of education you or any other student has and is it always the best. Coming from your very own teacher. Simply it does make you think about would your parents choose this school or any other school for that matter just because of the test scores it pulls every year from students such as us? Or would your parents want a good old school that just makes you up in every way? In such a matter it connects to a everyday school or classroom. Mostly concerning the students more or less. In that way it seems as if the students should be making the decision about where they would want to go to school. But before I get ahead of my shelf we still have parents who makes choices like that for us but we are entitled to our opinion. "Are we not?" I still think that a school should be made up of young adults that are simply there for one reason to learn and to be themselfs. In a environment that doesn't judge and keeps an effort to do all that they can to help a student out. In this case Mr. Fisch made a wise choice that a lot of people would agree on such as myself. He gave the opportunity to his young daughter in which test scores didn’t even matter.

Bid to Cut Off War Funding Fails

When it comes to war funding in Iraq many would want to help the cause in order for a victory. But many would also oppose. As you may already know we have been in this war for way too long now and simply the question comes up "Why?"The political groups Democrats and Republicans fight this issue often. In this article Bid to Cut Off War Funding Fails by David M. Herszenhorn and Carl Hulse; resource The New York Times it talks upon that issue and also includes the funding cost of the war. The Democrats made a simple proposal that would cut off the war funding in order to stop the war but with a few less votes then needed it failed. So in that case due to majority vote the war in Iraq will still push on.So very easily the question remains "Why didn't they go for it."What matter's most is that many of our solider troops are risking there life everyday and some haven't been home in months or years. I think it would be a huge stepping stone toward a better strategy if we supported the idea. This does affect me and everyone else; I do believe that the idea must be reconsider and hopefully this time pass with a handful of votes.. "Do we want our troops to come home?"I would think that every one would be for it. In times like now we really should bring them home and stop this war once and for all.But the other side remains in this case the Republicans thoughts are solidly behind the president in the matter. It relates to the modern Americans which includes everyone living in the U.S. the subject of our country at war has a deep impact on us all. Families,Friends and everyone has love one's that they just want to come home. Many want them to stay and push on because to them its a succeeded victory in the bag. With thoughts and opinions on the topic it connects to all the people. But how many would be for the idea?

Did You Know? 2.0

The prompt that was addressed from Did You Know by Karl Fisch resource The Fischbowl was based upon the internal facts that come from the learning of our generation. It was a true interesting prompt and slide that concluded the facts and made you think further into how our education was being pushed for the leanings in the 21'st century. It relates to the teachings in the class room because it seems that many countries around us seem to be more educated then us in the United States. Which is completely fine but to me just seems like a red flag that symbolizes a notice that something must be done to help. Many things that come form this very slide in this prompt describes just that and goes into affect for everyone.

World Languages Dying off fast

Many of our worlds languages are dying off rapidly. In that case many world civilizations and cultures go with it. This article World Languages Dying Off Fast by John Noble Wilford resource The New York Times explained just that. My part in such a matter I would have to simply agree with the fact that many cultures of all nations in all of the world had loosen there own true native language. Some have already sadly lost it and since no record are teachings have been taught are given it will never be retrieved again. In such a time when everything is more social it seems really difficult to speak or go back to your own true nationality language. In my behalf I could really relate to this article because as a Native American living in a more suburban area it seems more or less that I really do not know my true native language. Which is very bad because everybody should know that true speaking that is from there own culture. Very simply this fact of the people in the world losing their languages can relate to all of us. From each and every kid who learns in school about the world cultures around them they must know and understand that they may not be there tomorrow. So to conclude I think that the world around us should take into affect about such a lost and do something about it.
